Do I need a moped license in Rhode Island?
Some states have specific moped licenses. Often those that do not offer a moped license require that a moped rider possess a motorcycle license. Rhode Island does not offer a moped license. As long as your moped meets their definition of a moped neither do you need a motorcycle license. The Rhode Island definition of a moped is as follows:
