What is the grace period when my car insurance drops me?
Insurance companies can decide to drop you for any number of reasons. You may be behind on bills, had too many accidents or even just too many points on your license. For whatever reason, they are required to give you a notice of cancellation. Usually they will give you 30 days notice that you are losing your insurance coverage. You could appeal to them for more time if you are having trouble finding new coverage, but there is no guarantee that they will grant that.
